Why I'd hand it to you

Eckhart Tolle argues that most of our suffering comes from living in regret about the past or worry about the future, and that peace is found by paying attention to the present moment. The book is written in question-and-answer form, and many readers find it calming. Here is my honest caution. The spirituality draws on Eastern traditions and is quite different from Christian belief, and some of it is abstract enough to feel vague. Practical-minded readers may get frustrated. If you are drawn to mindfulness and can read it with discernment, there is something here about paying attention.
