Psychology
How minds, habits and relationships work.
I'm endlessly curious about why people do what they do, including me. This shelf covers habits, motivation, relationships, persuasion, introverts and extroverts, and how our minds take shortcuts. A few books deal with harder ground like trauma, addiction and growing up with emotionally immature parents, and I note in those reviews where a book is a starting point rather than a substitute for real help. Some of these titles are built on research that has been debated since they came out, and I mention that too. The best of them offer better language for things most of us notice in our own lives, at work and at home.
