Why I'd hand it to you
Rick Warren guides readers through forty short chapters on why they are here, meant to be read one a day. His answer is that life makes sense in light of God's purposes, which he lays out as worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and mission. Each chapter ends with a point to consider and a verse to remember, and many churches have used it for group studies. My caution is that the format can feel formulaic, and the style is very much of its early-2000s moment. Mature believers may find it basic. For someone newer to faith, it is a clear, steady guide.
