Philosophy
Old and new ideas about how to live.
This is the shelf for when you need perspective. It holds the old Stoics, modern books built on their ideas, and a few that ask big questions about time, meaning, ego and how to live well. Some come from a Christian angle and some don't, and a couple lean on Eastern spirituality, which I note in the reviews so you can read with discernment. Many of these work best a little at a time, a page or a chapter in the morning rather than all at once. You don't need a philosophy background for any of them. You just need to be willing to sit with a hard question for a minute.
