Current Events
Books on what is happening in the news right now.
These are the books people are talking about right now, on politics, technology, AI, the economy and the people in charge. Because they are so recent, they come with a shorter shelf life and often a strong point of view. I try to be upfront about where each author is coming from and how their book has been received, including who disagrees with it. Some of them I'd recommend across the aisle, and some are mainly for readers who already share the author's concerns. Read them as one voice in an ongoing conversation rather than the final word. If a topic here grabs you, the history and world affairs shelves usually have deeper background.
