Why I'd hand it to you
Sarah Wynn-Williams worked in global policy at Facebook for years and describes what she saw near the top of the company. Her account is of leaders who chased growth and influence with little concern for the harm it caused, and she writes with a dark sense of humor. It is part memoir and part exposé. Fairness matters here. This is one former employee's view, and Meta has disputed her account, so read it as testimony rather than a neutral investigation. If you care about how social media companies make decisions, it is worth reading, but readers who want a broad, balanced history of the industry should look elsewhere too.
