Why I'd hand it to you
Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson report on how President Biden's inner circle handled signs of his decline, and argue that the public wasn't told the full story ahead of the 2024 election. The book draws on a large number of interviews with people around the White House and the campaign. It sparked strong reactions when it came out. In fairness, people close to Biden have disputed the book's picture, and critics have asked why some of this wasn't reported sooner. Read it alongside other accounts. For anyone trying to understand how the 2024 race unfolded, it is part of the record.
