Why I'd hand it to you
Charles Duhigg explains the habit loop, cue, routine and reward, and shows how it works not just in people but in companies and communities. The stories range from Alcoholics Anonymous to a factory turnaround at Alcoa to how a retailer predicted pregnancies from shopping data. It is a good companion to Atomic Habits if you want more of the why behind the how. The trade-off is that it is more storytelling than instruction, and some readers finish it wishing for a clearer plan. A few of the science claims are also more settled in the book than in research. Still a good, engaging read.
