Why I'd hand it to you
Henry Cloud and John Townsend, both Christian psychologists, explain how to set healthy limits with family, friends, coworkers and even God, and why doing so is biblical and loving rather than selfish. For people who struggle to say no or feel responsible for everyone's feelings, it can be a turning point. The examples are practical. Keep in mind the book first came out in the early 1990s, so some examples feel dated, and the evangelical framing is central throughout. Readers outside that tradition may prefer a secular book on the same topic. For believers who feel guilty about every no, it is a real help.
